Jewelry Resources

No matter what stage you are in as a jeweler or if you are someone who just loves collecting and wearing it, I’ve created and gathered together some information that may be useful for you. Check out the sections below to find out what you need or to discover something new.

Technical Language for Jewelry Design

Learn the technical terms used in the jewelry industry. If you are new to jewelry making or are a non-native English speaker, this course offers a lot of knowledge and downloadable resources to help you understand jewelry terms in English from the tools to the processes.

For those who want to buy jewelry or work with a designer to create a unique treasure for your collection, it could be helpful to learn some basic terms from my free download so you can understand descriptions before buying or to communicate easier with your jeweler.

Online References

There’s no “right” place to learn how to design jewelry - universities, tech schools, apprenticeships, workshops, books, YouTube videos, and online courses are abundant and can give everyone the start they need in this creative industry or to upgrade and review previously-learned skills based on their learning style, location, or time available.

Suppliers

Knowing where to find great jewelry making tools besides a local craft store or which Amazon vendors can be trusted is often overwhelming. This page includes places and websites that I know about or have discovered in the US and Europe.

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
