Our Stone-setting without Prongs workshops offer an immersive experience, blending 20 hours of in-class instruction with private historic tours, delectable Italian cuisine, and wine tastings, free time for optional adventure activities, and unforgettable surprises that promise to leave you enchanted.

Itinerary:

1. arrival day and welcome dinner

2. Pompeii privately guided tour, lunch, workshop begins

3. workshop, wine tour lunch, visit to Vietri sul Mare (world famous for hand-painted Italian ceramics)

4. full day workshop with catered lunch, pizza dinner

5. free day

6. final workshop day, light catered lunch, and farewell dinner

7. departure day

What is included:

• Practice band rings for stone-setting (in copper for both workshops)

• Practice metal (copper) for the fancy stone bezels

• Round, brilliant cut CZs for the basic workshop or a pear and princess cut CZ for the fancy workshop

• Access to the necessary tools during the workshop

• Refreshments (drinks and snacks provided during workshop sessions)

• Meals indicated in the itinerary (3 dinners, 2 catered lunches, 1 lunch in a venue near Pompeii, 1 wine tour tasting lunch)

• Transportation for the group excursions and tickets and private guide fee for the Pompeii ruins tour

• made-to-size wearable rings to take home in silver (if you wish to have something other than the practice rings - we’ll provide the specs so you can prep them before the trip)

Immersed in the countryside, it is located minutes away from our workshop. This beautiful venue has a large swimming pool and a breakfast buffet is included. The restaurant is excellent. Participants can walk to the studio in about 5-10 minutes.

Although it isn't necessary for the workshop to have your own transportation, if you do wish to rent a car during your stay to have more freedom to move about in your time off there is ample parking available at the agriturismo.

Additional info:

• Anyone who wishes to participate and stay for both workshops can opt for separate activities during the second week so they can avoid a repeat visit to Pompeii and Vietri sul Mare

• Airfare and accommodations are not included in the price

• Transportation during group activities is included, but not on the free day where you plan your own adventure.

• We can assist with transfers to your hotel if you arrive to the train station in Salerno on the arrival day. Those arriving on flights to Napoli will need a transfer to Salerno that is not included. Using public services from Napoli airport can be confusing and are not recommended. We are happy to help arrange a trusted private driving service.

• We can suggest excursions and help plan your free day activities to venues such as a scenic drive on the Amalfi Coast, Capri, the Greek temples of Paestum, a private boat outing on the Amalfi Coast, and more. If you enjoy hiking, we also have 2 VIP tours that we conduct for either the Path of the Gods or a beautiful waterfall tour through the Valle delle Ferriere from Amalfi.

• The workshop classroom and studio workspace is located in a private residence. There are 2 cats who live in the home (in case you have allergies) and the home is multi-level with the main working level on the second floor. There is no elevator, so stairs are necessary (a consideration for those with knee problems).
